Information obligation for indirect data collection – First contact

This data protection information informs you about the processing of your data by us in accordance with Art. 14 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

After careful selection, we have specifically identified contacts in the B2B context who have publicly disclosed their data. We therefore assume that both we, BLSG, and the identified contacts are likely to be interested in a collaboration.

The contacts used are business contacts that are publicly accessible on social media platforms and websites in a business context.

You are welcome to let us know at any time if you do not wish to be contacted.

Processing purposes and legal basis:

The data processing is carried out for the purpose of establishing contact in order to establish a possible cooperation and a subsequent conclusion of a contract. The data is processed on the basis of the legitimate interest on the basis of a balancing of interests (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR).

 

We contact people from B2B networks where we have identified a potential interest in our service after thorough research and comparison of the contact interests entered. According to recital 47 p. 4 GDPR, the data subject can reasonably expect that by publicly disclosing the information on a B2B platform, their data can be used accordingly to make contact.

Any known objections to being contacted will be taken into account. As the data subject, you naturally have the right to object to the processing of personal data at any time, taking into account the provisions of Art. 21 GDPR.

We process the data accordingly by using the e-mail address for contacting you. In addition, the (non-) reactions to this e-mail address (i.e. whether you have replied or not) are recorded and used for the statistical measurement of the reach and behavior of the contacts in order to be able to check whether the defined search categories are targeted and to avoid renewed contact in the absence of a response.

 

Data categories and data origin:

We process the following categories of data:

  • First name, last name
  • Name of the company
  • Job title
  • E-mail address
  • Other background information that you as the data subject voluntarily share in your profile.

 

The data from the aforementioned data categories was generated from business networks and business websites based on evaluations of the industry and weighing up interests.

 

Recipient:

We will not pass on your data when you contact us. However, it will be collected and processed by our processor ComX. We have concluded the corresponding contracts with ComX.

 

Duration of storage:

Your data will be stored until you withdraw your consent.

 

Rights of the data subject:

If the legal requirements are met, you have the following rights in accordance with Art. 15 to 22 GDPR: Right to information, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability.

You also have the right to object to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR in accordance with Art. 14 (2) (c) in conjunction with Art. 21 GDPR.

 

Right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority

In accordance with Art. 77 GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority if you believe that your personal data is being processed unlawfully.
